About Us.
Delaney Wright is proud to be one of the premier preschools in Los Angeles. We are one of the only preschools in Los Angeles that emphasize learning and development through the lens of the fine arts. What does that mean exactly? It means that we use art in its various mediums to teach science, textures and shapes. It means that we use drama to teach emotions, expression of ourselves, and empathy. It means that we use music and movement to teach spatial awareness and develop gross motor skills. It means we use storytelling to teach language and communication. Our curriculum uses the arts to maximize each child’s individual development and learning.
On any given day you will find children painting or playing music or dancing or tending to their plants in the garden; the possibilities are endless! With so much laughter and fun, it’s easy to forget the proven and lasting impact that all of this learning (and play!) on each child’s life! And that’s our point – children who attend Delaney Wright are eager to explore and learn and feel excitement when they discover new things and begin to find their own voices.
We serve children from the ages of 18 months through 5 years of age and we offer year-round enrollment, because life is year-round. Our staff members are chosen for their responsiveness and nurturing abilities as well as their education in early childhood education and vast experience as teachers. We keep our student to teacher ratio low to provide the most personal experience for the children as we can.
